FAQ

How do I get the Purple Card?

  • The Purple Card is a discount program for all Arts Undergraduate students. Students will be able to receive discounts from partnered companies by presenting this card. 
  • In order to obtain a Purple Card fiIl out the qualtrics survey here to sign up for your very own Purple Card!
  • Once you fill out the form, you will receive an email which will contain a time and location for you to pick up your card. Further details about partnered companies and discounts are listed on this website below.

How do I use the card?

  • When you receive your Purple Card, it will have your name and student number on it. 
  • There will be a 5-digit AUS code on the back of the card which you will need for access to the discount. 
  • To use the card, simply present your card and your UBC student card to verify your name, and Student Number.
    • This should be shown to one of the employees at a partnered location. Make sure to check the list of partners to verify a partnership’s location and the discount.

Where can I find the Qualtrics link?

  • The qualtrics link will be located on our AUS Instagram in our bio Linktree.

When/Where can I get the purple card?   

  • Purple Cards can be picked up at the Arts Student Centre (ASC) shortly after you have submitted your information. 
  • When you sign up for a Purple Card, you will receive a verification email alerting you when to pick up your card. 
  • You can sign up for a Purple Card using the link above on February 1st, 2022. The last day to sign up for a Purple Card is April 1st, 2022.

When can I sign up for the Purple Card?

  • You can sign up from February 1st to March 15th
  • The speed in which you receive your card will be dependent on when you submit your application. 
  • For instance, if you submit your application on February 1st, you will receive it earlier than if you submit on March 1st.
  • The 1st batch will be accepting applications from February 1st – 15th, 2nd batch February 16th – March 1st, and the last batch March 2nd – March 15th!

Do I have to pay for a purple card?

  • No! The Purple Card is free to all currently enrolled UBC undergraduate Arts students. 
  • To activate the discount, an employee at the partnered location might ask you to present your Purple Card alongside your UBC student card. 
  • Make sure you have both on hand to verify your name and student number.

How do I use the online code for a discount?

  • For the Princeton Review discount, please email Rebeca.AncerGomez@review.com
  • For all other online purchases, make sure to enter the specific code for each business at checkout!

Additional important information: 

  • There are a limited amount of Purple Cards available, so be sure to order one while supplies last!
